The ILWU (Longshore Union) is mobilizing the labor
movement for Aaron Harrison’s trial on Thursday,
November 12. Jason Ruffin was found “not guilty”
Oct. 28. They were busted 2 years ago in the port of
Sacramento while returning to work after lunch. They
did nothing wrong! All unions need to defend them!
ILWU Calls Rally
Thurs, Nov. 12 in Woodland, CA
This was a clear case of “Rambo-acting” SSAterminal security guards calling in police. Under the
guise of “port security” Aaron was dragged from his car, maced, handcuffed, while Jason was locked
in a police car with windows closed and temperatures over 100 degrees. This is not “port security”.
It’s thugs in blue. It could happen to any port worker with or without a TWIC ID card!
The West Sac police have many cases of racial profiling against them, mainly from Mexican
American youth. Luis Gutierrez, a farmworker, was killed by undercover sheriffs’ deputies on April
30. Clearly, Aaron and Jason are victims of racial profiling.
