The Doro-Chiba Railroad Union in Japan has been organizing this international workers rally and march for 10 years now. Even though they are only 300 strong, they are extremely well organized. While the ILWU and other American labor activists have participated for years, last year a relationship was made with ILWU Local 21 when President Dan Coffman was invited to come speak and participate. This year the Labor council was represented, with Local 21, 2 members of the San Francisco labor community, along with union members from Germany and Korea. Approximately 5000 plus participated in the rally/march on Nov. 4th.
