Stop Retaliating Against IBT 350 Member Daryle Washington For Whistleblowing And Fighting Racism On The Job

November 28 (Saturday), 20151:00 PM
At: Bayview Library 5075 3rd St, near Revere San Francisco

In 2013 a hanging noose was placed on a conveyor belt at the San Francisco Recology plant. When IBT 350 member Darrell Washington spoke out about it he was retaliated against by the company. The use of hanging nooses to intimidate and terrorize African American workers and others is not new. There have been an epidemic of such instances including others in San Francisco at SFO, South East Sewage plant and UCSF. There is also happening nationally. All labor and working people need to stop this NOW! This forum will look at why this is taking place andwhat should be done about it. If you have similar experiences please come and speak out to stop these acts of terrorism on the job. Also there will be a solidarity rally against the “hanging noose” and retaliation against IBT 350 member Daryle Washington at SF Recology on the anniversary of this incident on December 10, 2015 at 5:00 PM at 50 California St., San Francisco.
