ENGLAND may be 17,000 km away but some people are still fighting the good fight.

Brits who took to the streets to party and celebrate Margaret Thatcher’s deathmade headlines around the world yesterday, and a picture of a Sydney ferry worker also getting into the spirit has been doing the rounds on Twitter.

The man was snapped by a commuter wearing a "Still Hate Thatcher" t-shirt.

But his employer Harbour City Ferries isn’t sharing the same sentiment, telling news.com.au the ferry worker could face disciplinary action because it is an offence under their code of conduct not to be in proper uniform.

"The matter is being investigated and if the code of conduct was breached we will take disciplinary action," a Harbour City Ferries spokeswoman said.

"It is unclear if the staff member was travelling home or on duty. Once this is ascertained, we will take the necessary action."

Troy Andrew, who took the picture and posted it to Twitter, said the man was "definitely working".

Mr Andrew made a complaint to the company saying the t-shirt was "not exactly the best greeting for our British tourists at the time of death".

"I thought it was a bit weird, especially 24 hours since she died," Mr Andrew said.

"And that time of day it’s not exactly workers [catching the ferry], the majority of people there are tourists."

What do you think? Should people be able to express their political views at work, or should they keep it to themselves?
