After 10 months of longshore contract negotiations and reaching a 5-year tentative agreement (TA) the ILWU membership is still being kept in the dark. In the latest development in the ongoing labor-management dispute at the Port of Portland, a federal judge has ordered the International Longshore and Warehouse Union to pay nearly $60,000 for slowing down work at Terminal 6.

Despite a tentative labor agreement to end a dispute that brought chaos to West Coast ports, the international container terminal at the Port of Oakland once again shut down Wednesday, a port official confirmed to The Chronicle.
