There will be a Transport Workers Solidarity meeting Wed. April 1 at the Seafarers' Center in the port of Oakland. We've been having regular meetings on the 1st Tues. of every month, but because of the urgency of the TWIC card situation on the docks the meeting is being moved up a week. We'll have a report on TWIC and how it's effecting the locals on the Coast and the International Labor Conference to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Big Strike in 1934 that shutdown the entire West Coast. Please be there to discuss these urgent issues.

There will be a May Day Organizing Committee meeting Wednesday April 16 at 7PM at the Seafarers' Center in the port of Oakland. That's the West Oakland BART stop. We'll have reports on the nationwide Port Truckers May Day Strike, threats from port employers, the May Day poster, new labor support, linking up with the immigrants' rights marches and logistics.

Don't miss the SF Labor Council's upcoming program meeting on Monday, January 22. The program will focus on the Iraq War and include a report back from the U.S. Labor Against the War (USLAW) Convention as well as a discussion on how to de-fund the war. The program will include a presentation by an antiwar soldier.
